Make dog food yourself: recipes with potatoes.

A balanced, dog-friendly diet is essential to keep your four-legged friend healthy and alert. If you make dog food yourself, you can prepare great recipes with potatoes. They fill you up and can be wonderfully combined.

However, it would help if you never used raw tubers in potatoes as dog food recipes. Only boiled potatoes are allowed in the dog bowl. Raw potatoes are also incompatible with humans. In addition, you should refine the potato dishes for your four-legged friend with meat and add other types of vegetables or eggs. So you can make balanced, versatile dog food yourself.

Lamb and potato stew with beetroot

The lamb and potato stew are relatively lean, so even overweight dogs can enjoy it. The preparation is quite simple, and if you make a little more yourself, you can eat it yourself. However, you mustn’t add any spices or salt to the dog food.

Cut 500 grams of lamb, three floury, peeled potatoes and one pre-cooked beetroot into small pieces. Put the potatoes with the meat in a saucepan and add about a litre of water. Then bring it all to a boil and let it simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes. Drain off the excess water and mix the stew with the beetroot pieces.

Make your dog food recipe for gourmets.

Dogs love liverwurst, and together with mashed potatoes, it becomes not just a treat for them but a wholesome meal. This dog food is easy to make yourself, but it is not for chubby four-legged friends.

Peel three to four medium-sized, floury potatoes, cut them into small pieces and boil them in water for 20 minutes. Mash them together with a teaspoon of butter and 500 millilitres of milk to a puree and mix in 200 grams of fine liver sausage.
